Medicine of the Future” Science Year
As part of the “Medicine of the Future” Science Year, the Leopoldina is hosting two public events in Halle (Saale) on the topic of data-driven dementia prevention. Among the speakers is Prof. Dr. Emrah Düzel, director of the Institute for Cognitive Neurology and Dementia Research in Magdeburg and spokesperson for the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Magdeburg, who will share his expertise in cognitive neuroscience and research on neurodegenerative diseases.

Starting on August 17, 2026, the Ministry of Science, Energy, Climate Protection, and the Environment of the State of Saxony-Anhalt will present the traveling exhibition “Gender-Sensitive Medicine” at its offices at Leipziger Straße 58 in Magdeburg.
